🐾 Happy Paws Horsley – Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Happy Paws Horsley, including dog walking, puppy visits, puppy socialisation, pet sitting, daycare, and drop-in visits.
By booking any service, you agree to the following:
1. Services
Happy Paws Horsley provides:

Dog walking (solo and group)
-
Puppy visits and socialisation
-
Overnight pet sitting (in the client’s home)
-
Daycare services (in the client’s home)
-
Drop-in visits
All services are subject to availability and suitability of the pet.
2. Meet & Greet

A mandatory meet & greet is required before the first booking
-
Services may be declined if the pet is not suitable or safe to handle
3. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:

Provide accurate and up-to-date information about their pet (medical, behavioural, dietary)
-
Disclose any history of aggression, anxiety, or reactivity
-
Provide clear written instructions for feeding, walking, and care
👉 Important:

Happy Paws Horsley will not walk or feed any pet without written instructions
4. Equipment & Preparation
Clients must provide:
-
Leads, harnesses, collars
-
Poo bags
-
Food and treats
-
Towels
👉 All items must be left in a safe, visible, and accessible place (preferably by the front door)
5. Legal Requirements (UK)

All dogs must be microchipped in accordance with UK law
-
Dogs must wear a collar with ID tag when outside
-
Clients confirm their pet is fully vaccinated (unless agreed otherwise)
6. Access & Home Security
-
Clients must provide safe and reliable access (keys, key safe, alarm instructions)
-
All doors, windows, and locks must be fully functional and secure
👉 Important:

Happy Paws Horsley is not responsible for break-ins or damage where locks, doors, or windows are faulty
-
If access cannot be gained due to faulty locks or incorrect instructions, the full service fee will still apply
7. Booking & Payments

All bookings must be confirmed in advance

Payment terms:
-
One-off services: paid in advance
-
Regular bookings: charged weekly
-

A deposit may be required for longer or peak bookings
8. Cancellations
-
Minimum 48 hours’ notice required
-
Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable
-
Weekly bookings are charged regardless of attendance
-
Holiday bookings may have stricter cancellation terms
9. Pet Behaviour & Safety

Clients must disclose any behavioural concerns
-
Services may be refused, stopped, or adjusted if a pet poses a safety risk

Happy Paws Horsley prioritises the safety of:

The pet
-
The handler
-
Other animals and the public
-
10. Pet Sitting (Home Stay Specific)

Clients must ensure:
-
The home is safe and secure
-
All appliances and utilities are in safe working order
-

Clear instructions must be provided for:
-
Feeding
-
Medication
-
Walking
-
House routines
-
11. Emergency Care
-
In the event of illness or emergency:
-
The client will be contacted immediately
-
The registered vet will be contacted if required
-
👉 Clients agree to:

Cover all veterinary and emergency costs
12. Liability

While every care is taken, pets remain the legal responsibility of the owner

Happy Paws Horsley is not liable for:

Injury, illness, escape, or loss
-
Damage caused by the pet
-
Third-party incidents
-
👉 Except where caused by proven negligence
13. Data Protection (UK GDPR)

Client information is stored securely
-
Used only for:
-
Service delivery
-
Communication
-

Data will not be shared or sold without consent unless required by law
14. Agreement
By booking with Happy Paws Horsley, you confirm:
